Traveling before dawn in pea-soup weather isn't ideal but if we wanted to get a start on our first Christmas market for the season it just had to be. I was resigned to the fact that this road trip we'd planned weeks ago wouldn't happen due to a big blowup we had the day before but after a dramatic turn last night it went well enough that we resumed our plans for the weekend. Three and a half hours later we arrived at our base for the weekend, got a very early check in and free buffet breakfast before wandering the grounds of the historic hotel for a look see through time. It definitely gave off that Somewhere In Time vibe though I am loving the yuletide feeling.
